    • An Explanation of the Tasks and Authorities of the Supreme Commission for Security of Iran’s Cyberspace

      The Supreme Commission for the country’s cyberspace security has been established for the realization of the country’s cyberspace security, and tasks and authorities of which are as follows:

      • Providing the required conditions so that the country’s cyberspace might achieve the highest level of security, safety and soundness for the majority people of the regime and all those who play a rule in the cyberspace and in the framework of the Supreme Council approvals.
      • Creating the required readiness at the best level for the purpose of preserving the important infrastructures against cyber-attacks and proper defense against any type of attack and in the framework of the Supreme Council approvals.
      • National work-sharing, coordination and synergy in the country’s cyberspace, in all dimensions i.e. security, police and defensive in the frame-work of the Supreme Council approvals.
      • Wisely, systematic and constant supervision of threats of the cyberspace for the country, and taking the required measures for timely and innovative confrontation with them in the framework of the Supreme Council approvals.
      • Organizing the security of the country’s cyberspace in normal conditions and crisis conditions, and also provision and ratification of regulations’ rules, and instructions needed in this field, and also the constant supervision over the wellness of their performance.
      • Management of recognizing cyber-attacks to the country, and defending the important infrastructures against cyber-attacks from inside of the country and abroad, in the framework of the Supreme Council approvals.
      • Provision and ratification of instructions, and security appendices to projects and plans for the country’s cyberspace, and in the framework of the Supreme Council approvals.
      Notes:
      • Every organization or institute working in the field of security and defense of the cyberspace is obliged to have activity with coordination and in the framework of this commission’s approvals.
      • From the date of this ratification, the entire tasks and authorities of the Passive Defense Organization, in the field of cyberspace and in the level of policy-making and macro decision-makings would be transferred to this commission.
      • For transferring those type of tasks and authorities of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for National Security that are in conflict with the tasks and authorities of the National Center for Cyberspace ( or the related Supreme Commissions), the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for National Security is obliged to record these matters through consultation with the Secretariat of the National Center for Cyberspace,
